The #WhiteRibbon campaign aims to end violence against women and girls! Since 1991, men have worn white ribbons as a pledge to never commit, condone, or remain silent about all forms of gender-based violence and discrimination. Our campaign courses Understanding Gender and Crime & Preventing Violence Against Women explain gender vs. sex, the impacts of gender inequality, the history of violence against women, myths about sexual assault, what can be done to prevent further violence, and more! | Violence against women impacts all Canadians. 1 in 3 women and girls experience physical or sexual violence in their lifetime. 50% of all women in Canada have experienced at least one incident of physical or sexual violence since the age of 16. It is important to educate yourself to be part of the solution, and act as a positive force of change in your community. |
