  • Welcome to the Safe City Mississauga Community Reporting Form. The primary purpose of the Community Reporting Form is the collection of community crime data for the purposes of data analysis and strategic planning.

The collection of Community Reporting Data is crucial to the development and implementation of effective community crime prevention. Typically, available crime statistics often only display 30% of all crime, leaving 70% unaccounted for. Crime and crime concerns often go completely unreported as a result of systemic barriers and perceptions of criminal justice systems. Safe City Mississauga welcomes all Watch members of all walks of life to use the Community Reporting Form to help draw attention to community crime concerns that might otherwise go completely unreported and unaccounted for.

The Community Reporting Form is NOT a substitute for reporting to Peel Regional Police for the purposes of enforcement or investigation into a crime.

The Community Reporting Form is NOT monitored 24/7 and is NOT meant to receive emergency reports of crimes currently in progress. IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY IN AN EMERGENCY SITUATION AND/OR WITNESSING A CRIME IN PROGRESS PLEASE CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY.

A community concern is any observed and continuous behaviour or activity that may encourage or be related to criminal activity, or can generally upset a community’s safety and wellbeing but may not necessarily require police attention. It may also consist of geographical locations that may encourage the aforementioned behaviours or activities. It may also consist of persons experiencing issues with safety and wellbeing and if left unchecked, may further upset the general community’s safety and wellbeing.
