Safe City Mississauga runs on volunteers. Neighbours who start a Watch on their street, students who speak up about safety at school, and residents who clear graffiti off a park wall. There’s a role here that fits you.
No. 1 volunteer role
A Team Leader is the neighbour who gets a Watch going on their street and keeps it connected. You don’t need experience. You need to care about the people who live around you. We handle the rest.
Canvass local residents and invite them to join the Watch.
Coordinate fun, useful safety events, like a Neighbours Night Out on your block.
Keep your Watch in touch with our team and with each other through the SafeCityApp.
Signing up takes less than two minutes. From there, we walk you through it.
Fill in the short Neighbourhood Watch form and tell us you’d like to start a Watch.
We check for a Watch already on your street. If there isn’t one, we help you launch it.
You get Team Lead training, then we lead an activation meeting with your neighbours.
A crime prevention audit, Neighbourhood Watch signs, and the SafeCityApp to stay connected.
